it’s time. roughly once a year it’s appropriate to discuss swimwear. and since it is officially the start of summer, might as well get it over with now.
i’m headed to vegas with my business partner in a few weeks and since most of our time will be spent at the pool {discussing business, of course}, i need to stock up.
naturally, my first stop for swim is j.crew {don’t judge}. julep classified my style as “classic with a twist” and they couldn’t be more right on. i like my swimwear classic, sophisticated with a little sass. you know the drill.
my go-to bikini style is a bandeau. i can’t handle tan lines. let’s be honest, you just can’t go wrong with paisley. it’s classically cool. this j.crew feather paisley pleated bikini is under $100.
for those days that i indulged a little bit too much {booze + dessert = scary}… and can’t bear the thought of exposing much of my body. this j.crew side-swept ruffle tank for $66 is chic and would make me feel more incognito.
after scoping out j.crew, i hit bluefly.
if this doesn’t scream “i’m on vacation,” i don’t know what does! that’s some pizazz in a bikini! the trina turk tangiers bikini retails for around $130 and would make vegas feel like the caribbean.
as you well know, a swimsuit is only as good as its coverup. take for instance this dkny cerulean floral scarf print coverup {retails for under $100}. it will make you look good, whatever you wear underneath.
my next and final stop was shopbop.
a little daring for moi, but this fabu monokini is quite tempting. indah’s sunny monokini retails for $150 and would certainly make a statement… if you can handle it.
sort of obsessed with everything high waisted… and nude. could i pull it off? this tori praver betty bikini is glam goddess style {and on sale for under $150 total}.
what to do? naturally, i think i’ll need to order them all and try them on home for the jury {my brutally honest husband} before i make my final judgement. decisions, decisions.
