like many of you, i’ve given in to the nail craze. i’ve been painting my nails for as long as i can remember {check the carpet in the house i grew up in for proof}, but i can’t recall any other time that “done up” nails were as celebrated.
now, i know that a bold nail lacquer is pretty tame in comparison to some of the other nail trends {can we just say holy moly}, but still. if you gotta dip your toe in, a hot hue is definitely the best way.
this week, i’m finally rocking essie turquoise and caicos. it only took me a full month to track down a bottle {thank you, target}. it was part of the spring 2011 collection {remember sand tropez?} and so what if i’m a full year late. i love it.
it’s like the perfect combo between that seamfoam green color you’ve always wanted to paint your bedroom and your favorite turquoise seeded necklace {yes, the one you currently can’t take off}. the color that looks surprisingly good with everything you wear. so good you actually want to match your finger and toe polish.
better find a pristine top coat, cause you’ll never want it to come off.
